Guan Heong was founded in 1918 as the FIRST HANDMADE BISCUIT SHOP in Ipoh New Town with heritage of 100 years.  Taken from Hokkien terms, the name Guan Heong signifies a passion to serve the original, high-quality taste of traditional pastry to his customers.

By keeping heritage as its true north, Guan Heong has been able to deliver the same exquisite taste for its renowned Salted Tau Sar Pheah.

The bakery is moving with the times, introducing modern pastries to adapt to the changing consumer preference — Meat Floss Biscuit, Meat Floss with Salted Egg Biscuit, Dried Meat Biscuit and Hawaiian Biscuit — the list goes on.

In June 2017, Guan Heong was recognised as the Top 50 World Street Food Award Winner at the World Street Food Congress at Manila, Philippines.

This year, the bakery once again demonstrated its success as the leader in the business, with the honour to be awarded as The Brand Laureate SMEs Best Brand Award 2017-2018 in the Biscuits & Confectionery category.
